Description: Kashmala Tariq is unarguably one of Pakistan’s most glamorous politicians. After the passing of the late Benazir Bhutto, Pakistanis the world over are writing in about the great allure of this Pakistani beauty. Purported to be married with a child, the stunning Kashmala Tariq is nevertheless the object of many a man’s fantasies, having an almost Amazonian domineering quality about her. Educated from the London School of Economics, Kashmala Tariq first entered Pakistani politics as a Member of National Assembly MNA from a woman’s quota seat as part of the PML Q government. Headed by Chaudhry Shujaat, the notorious PML Q was ruthlessly beaten in the last Pakistani general elections that saw the emergence of a rather improbable Zardari-Sharif alliance. Kashmala Tariq, never one to be browbeaten, however, continues to be seen in some of the most prominent social circles of the capital. She is seen here wearing a white shalwar kameez as she arrives for a local event.

Description: A rather attractive girl in a photograph taken some years ago by a local Lahore based newspaper. Apparently, this lady along with her friends was partaking in the yearly Basant festival celebrations. Basant is a local West Punjabi festival that celebrates the advent of springtime by the mass flying of kites. Kite flying contests are staged throughout the Punjab, but the sport is particularly zealous in the city of Lahore. Kite flying enthusiasts use glass sharpened strings to cut through the kite strings of their opponents. Unfortunately, many children get injured every year due to the sharp and volatile kite strings. Pakistani girls also participate in Basant, as it culminates into a flurry of all night dancing and illuminated nocturnal kite flying parties

Description: Another great photograph of Pakistani girls at a local cricket match. According to the source, this was taken at a Lahore stadium. Notice the effervescent fervor on the faces of these zealous females. The city of Lahore is renowned for its “shugli” people, and that includes the girls of the region. Shugli actually means fun-loving in the Urdu/Punjabis vernacular of West Punjab. Interestingly, this word isn’t used by the Punjabis across the eastern border, writes Ashmit from Ludhiana.

Description: Another scene peculiar to northern Pakistan (and perhaps India). What we see here is a popular summer tourist destination, what appears to be a river in the Swat valley. The locals have put charpoys in the middle of the rivulet, in order to enjoy the cool water as it passes below. A charpoy is a traditional cot made out of twisted organic rope. Used extensively across the Indian subcontinent, charpoys have been put to increasingly versatile uses, as this picture aptly demonstrates. We see a Pakistani girl emerging from the water, enjoying the environs to the fullest.

Description: The sexy Miss Pakistan apparently wore a red bikini at the recent beauty paegent in China. She is arguably the first Pakistani female to appear publicly in a bikini, sparking a storm of controversy at home and abroad. She obviously has a nice figure and most men would find her very attractive. Mahleej Sarkari is an ethnic Baloch woman hailing from the Baluchistan province of Pakistan. A homegrown Pakistani girl residing in Canada when chosen for the Miss Pakistan beauty pageant, she recently appeared in the famous Nadia Khan show on GEO TV, leading to a flurry of antagonistic comments against the dame. Someone wrote in to the Nadia Khan show calling Miss Pakistan “do number” (number 2), an apparent allusion to the common Pakistani slang term for not-so-respectable women. Unfortunately for the beauty contest winner, Nadia Khan apparently subtly endorsed the comment. The caption reads “Restore the Judiciary”, referring to the dismissal and house arrest of Pakistani Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary.
